    Borealis Watch Co.?

Has anyone heard from Borealis lately? It's been awfully quiet on their Forum for the last 3-4 weeks!

They just came out with the Oceanaut a few weeks. Here's mine:

The prototypes for the Portus Cale are being assembled now.

Hopefully they are working on some new models, would like to see a new pilot design from them.

But your right, it has been a little quiet recently.

Nice looking watch! Too bad I'm not into Bronze. These seemed to come out of nowhere. I haven't heard of the Portus Cale, either. Are they introducing new designs somewhere other than their forum? I liked when Maria used to discuss a new design on the forum, establishing buy-in by evolving the design with members input. Since Carlos moved over from Prometheus, the designs seem to appear out of nowhere , and it's take it or leave it, as presented!

I can't speak for them but as a customer, it's super annoying to see people like the owner of Minute Man watches post dozens of times on Facebook pages asking for input on dial, hands, etc.

Lots of people won't be pleased when their input doesn't go into production. If I ever make my own watch, I'm not asking anyone for input. It'll be my watch, take it or leave it.

But I get the appeal of "being a part of the project".

The Tactico Anko js a prime example of how listening to people can go terribly wrong. And because of people voting we just had the two worst presidential candidates in the history of this great country.

    Re: Borealis Watch Co.?

I’m an owner of four Borealis watches, so I guess that makes me a fan. I was surprised at the recent sudden announcement and availability of the Oceanaut: it was different from their usual method of taking pre-orders months in advance. Their official forum has been taken over by spammers and there are no official announcements, but it appears that Facebook is where they keep their customers informed of upcoming projects. Don’t know what it means, but that is what it is.
