C1 Luminova Versus C3? Which do you prefer?

Hi everyone..I'm relatively knew to watch collecting, I've had a few watches over the past couple years.. Currently I've got a watch which has C1- Luminova, I guess it's a very thick application of it because it is excellent. My last watch was a Maratac Pilot 46mm ( huge ), which had a C-3 Luminova. The C3 was obviously much brighter, had better longevity, but one thing I didn't like was the slight green colour of the markers / numerals. Do you prefer C1 or C3 and why? Thanks. I look forward to hearing you're opinion!

No contest - C3! I love great lume. BGW9 would be a second choice since it is nearly as bright as C3. It looks white in day but glows blue. With BGW9 now available, I don't know why anyone would use C1.

Can't really say as I never have owned a watch with C1,but what I do know is my two watches that have C3 burn bright all night!

I would like to see BGW9 used more frequently. C3 is good too, but I think the overall design of the watch dial should complement the greenish hue.

It depends on the watch. Some watches look good with the greenish hue of C3 in daylight, and some don't. Like others have said, I prefer BGW9 over C1. I have found that BGW9 doesn't glow as intensely as C3 when first charged, but 1 hour later, both are glowing with the same intensity. The same holds for 8 hours after charging as well.

    For me BGW9 or C1.

I like lume, but I don't really need it to last through the night so I generally prefer that the markers appear white during the day.

C3 is awesome when it's glowing, but on most watches I don't like the greenish appearance during the day.

I do hope BGW9 starts getting used on more watches because you get the best of both worlds.
