Calling on people that have owned a UX and U2

Hi all,

I posted this in the Sinn forum, but felt I should ask my friends here where I usually hang out and who's opinions are valued.

I own a UX now and might have an oppurtunity to by a U2 in the near future.

Here are some obvious differences:

UX vs. U2
Quartz vs. Auto
Chronometer rating vs. no rating for movement
GMT vs. Non
13.5mm thick vs. 15.3mm thick
Oil filled vs. inert gas, copper sulfate capsules, and Sinn 66-228 oil

What other thoughts or comparisons do people that own / have owned both have. WHat is / was your favorite and why? Did you sell one? Will buying a U2 lead to selling the UX?

As far as the UX I love the wearability of it. Does the thicker U2 feel different? What are the weight differeces?

I love the visibility of the UX's dial. I have seen Tim's wrist video's of both. What are thougts on the U2's dial and visibility as compared to the UX?

Barry, get the U2. Regrettably sold mine earlier this summer with the dumb idea we all occasionally get of "thinning out the herd". I own the UX on bracelet now and love it because of the chronometer rating and of course the readability, but to me the U2 was as legible, the slight dome of the crystal was very nice. Thickness and wearing-wise, they seem to feel about the same, haven't noticed much difference on the wrist. The biggest difference to me,(besides the quartz/auto) was the GMT function, easier to use than my Omega GMT, and very simple/ legible, totally useful for my job, just didn't wear it as much as I should have. Sorry I don't have any comparison shots, sold the U2 in June, got the UX in Aug., but here's a couple to compare, just hold yer UX up to the screen Adam
