Can you help me identify a dive watch.

It is being worn by a colleague but I don't know him enough to feel comfortable to ask...

It's steel, Sub like in shape in all respects but bigger, maybe 43mm, with an oyster style bracelet.

The black bezel insert looks like it could be ceramic with numbers marking 05, 10, 15, 20...

It has a black dial with squarish hour markers, triangle at 12 and plongeur style white hands.

In the usual place for the logo there's a sea turtle drawing.

Definitely an auto movement with a date window at 3.

It looks pretty solid and well finished, that's why I'm curious.

Does anyone around here know what it could be ?

    Thanks !!

    This will not be easy.

Here's what I think; if you have observed the watch in a detailed way you might as well ask. Let's face it, with all the details you seem to know you probably had to look at the watch for many many seconds - watch spotting is no easy game no matter how much you know about watches - so the guy probably understood you liked his watch.

    Yeah, you're fully right.

In the end it is what I did: I asked. It's a Kemner.

I could get a good look at it. The Sea Turtle logo was a personal request from the owner, and it is also engraved on the back. Mighty well made watch, I might add.

Thanks for the support ! Mystery solved.

Kemmner. I haven't gotten anything from him yet, but have heard nothing but great things other than English obviously isn't his fist language so communication requires a little patience.

Here's one way to get to know him better. Just ask him about the watch and say you're a collector or enthusiast. He will like his watch noticed because it will make him think he made the right choice. Don't be afraid because this attitude will prevent you from enjoying life. What's the worst that could happen anyway.....

Like I said above, I did ask. It was a Kemmner. Specifically a version of this watch, but with different hands, bezel insert and the turtle replicated in the dial.

    Very well made watch.

No idea what's the price of these, but seem to be around (or maybe slightly above) the quality level of Steinhart (of which I own a couple).

Can you help me identify a dive watch.

That's a really cool looking diver!
When you said it had a turtle on it, the first thing I thought was Certina.
