They could do a project with the forum and develop a watch with the people who will do the swap. Would help them with cash flow also. A brass case with engraved bezel would look nice

I wonder if the new alloy (Bronze) will be harder than the brass. One thing I noticed in my Regattare Bronze is the softness of the brass. Anyone know if the hardness of bronze is higher than brass?

On another thought - I wonder if the brass watches will become more collectable and highly valued? Mistakes sometimes are worth more.

It's a $385 watch with a cheap Miyota movement from a small micro brand. I feel confident in saying "Nope". Dreadnought was its own animal and not comparable, plus no recall.
Good value and will like mine again when it is bronze.

This Brass case is indeed very soft. I have already a large dent on it (It never happened with any other watches).

I find this strange, since most Brass alloy are harder than Bronze. The Brass used for ammunition, locks and coins, for example, is extremely hard.

    Anyway we'll see.
    Have a wonderful time...

I will definitely go for a swap. By the way, is the warranty on the watch effective from the original manufacture date, or will it be reset to the date of swap?

The link in Stephan's post takes you to the page for European customers (and it appears to go through Facebook - maybe that's why you can't access it). You can't respond there if you are a US cusomer. My understanding is that US customers will receive an email tomorrow and a different link for US customer response will be made available at that time.

There is a link on Magrette website under the "News" section. Is that suppose to work for the US customers?

Yes. I entered my information through that link and got a confirmation of receipt from Dion the next day.

    Re: CASE REPLACEMENT MAGRETTE "BRONZE"

Dion contacted me yesterday, one day after I filled out the form on their website. As is stated in the letter on their website, they are extending this offer to second owners, or those that purchased the watch from an original owner - which is the case with me. I can only imagine the cost associated with making it right for their customers and I am impressed with the continued focus on customer service that Dion and his team have earned a reputation for. I hope that this debacle doesn't sink their ship, as the world needs more boutique watch brands.
