    Final Decision Wasn't So Hard

I've been bouncing a few watch's back & forth trying to make the best pick for me and which one would light a fire under me. Well it came down to the Helson SM 600 & AD BS100 on mesh, I know there is a price difference but that wasn't the deciding factor. For about three weeks now I've been in many threads that covered both, good & bad and the Aquadive BS100SS came out the clear winner in my eyes and for me I just stepped up my game a few notches. They said by Thurs or Friday it will on my door step and I can't wait. Wrist shots will be available soon................

Great choice. Both nice pieces but very different. AD puts out a quality watch that I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Congrats!

Well, good that you made a choice, not the one I would make {made} but its nice that we have a lot of choices. I can't get over the initial "web presence" from AD and I'm not to big on their design on the 100 and 300, maybe they will come out with another model that I like and if so I will reevaluate my negative feeling toward them and some of their obnoxious "fan boys"

If you want to do a side by side let me know and I'll loan you one of my SM 600s to play with

I hope I don't get summarily banned or censored for having an opinion but it has been happening a bit to frequently here.

Lex, I still have very very high regard toward the SM 600's quality and presence, I think it would stand it's ground with many higher priced watch's and is a superb piece.
It's all good, and yes, we all have so many choices it's mind boggling.

The A-D does appear well made and executed, enjoy it.

A bit ironic as there are quite a number of "fan boys" here but of a different variety. In the above thread, you never actually congratulate him on his purchase but instead only say "Well, good that you made a choice" and then go back into bashing mode. Granted it was laid out in a gentle way...

As far as the side by side comparison, hopefully the OP will take you up on that. Of course, I am only assuming that you have done a side by side comparison yourself, correct?

Regardless, I have had the real Omega Ploprof in hand as I owned it along with the AD. Fit and Finish are on par with each other.

nam6869usmc congrats on your purchase and I do hope you enjoy it for years to come.

You know what they say about shoes and their proper fit.

I hope the OP is happy with his purchase, I didn't think congratulations were called for, I'm not a hand holder, I simply stated he made a different choice than I would have/had and gave a brief comment on why I wouldn't have made the same one, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, I sometimes have trouble recognizing the sensitivities of todays "youth". If you perceive my not liking a design or the obnoxious behavior of the first company rep to come on scene as "bashing" perhaps a bit of soul searching is in order.

I hope he takes me up on the offer too, no I haven't done a side by side because I will not buy an AD product and none of it's "true believers" have offered to let me try their AD.

I didn't know you had a "real Omega Ploprof" I thought you had the modern Omega Homage to the original.

How about sending me your AD for a test run rather than selling it, or after the Marine tries out one of my Helson's he can forward it to you or if he declines I'll send it to you myself.

It's all good Ariel, we have a lot of choices, you make yours and I'll make mine and we don't even have to like each others choice.

Man... I wish you would have asked earlier as I did just sell it. A new BS300 is replacing it as my wrist continues to get fatter. Maybe to many "on the job donuts".

Congratulating someone on a purchase isn't holding their hand but instead it's a gesture indicating you to be happy for them. Maybe the watch isn't what you would purchase but in the end, I would hope that would be irrelevant as the watch was not purchased for you. Maybe it's the "youth" in me but I'm just actually happy because [--- insert any brand here ---] has made them happy!

PS. We do have a GTG coming up in Houston. Feel free to come on down and I would be more than happy to have you do a side by side.
