Going through a watch special that came with a newspaper my eye caught this Glycine Combat SUB Automatic. What do you think?

Nothing personal, but I get irritated with such comments more and more.
Yes, of course companies tend to copy a successfull brand or model or parts of it.I can probably name and show you over a thousands watches that find their source in some other brand or model.
But hey, in the end you want to be seen with the real iPod rather than a clone of it. That is ... if you have the money to buy it ... if not, and you still want to have the gadget, buy one you can afford. On the other hand some people do NOT want to have the iPod for their own reasons and seek a different one (either you are in favor of Rolex or you hate it, right?).
So for me it's not about comparing, but it's about personal taste, the right money to spend, the caught of an eye, the unexpected feeling you need this or that watch, sleepless nights, jealous feelings ... etc.

I like the cream bezel one with the blue dial...not a color combo you see often. Almost looks retro...
ok, let's go the mp3 story... sure the iPod may not be the best mp3 player, Sony, Samsung, Archos have models with nice feature too, maybe not everyone can't afford to buy an iPod, but would you buy a chinese zPod or iPad ? I won't...
I apologize if I irritated you

Ernie...I like it. I like Glycine. I think they are one of the finest "old line" companies making watches, amd my circa 1964 Glycine Airman (bought new) with the AS1701 mov't has served me well and gone through hell. Truth be told, it has held up MUCH better than my TT Rolex GMT Master II. (No repairs in 44 years and 2 combat tours vs. 3 repairs in 16 years of general desk duty!)
I also have the Glycine Airman 2000 and am very close to snagging the Combat Sub in either the orange bezel or orange chapter ring. Finally, Glycine has come back to realistic sizes. :gold
