I wanted to do a Rolex look with center links polished, but it didn't work out. Only used two sheets of cape cod, and I went all in on the DM500, probably needs another run.
What do you guys think? The bracelet was already heavily brushed with scotch pad in its life, so the brush lines were all over the place. I have mixed feelings on the results.
Ah, I get it. Looks like the Scotchbrite brushing is still visible. You'd probably have to take off a substantial amount of metal to reset that. On the other hand, the bezel looks pretty darn good! Sort of got a reverse Yachtmaster look going on there.
Whoever used the scotch bright F-ed up that bracelet bad. The scotch bright pad in the watch world is like a dremel tool in the firearms world. "Let me take this scotch bright pad and scratch out the scratches...."
Yeah, Scotchbrite is harsh. When refreshing the brushing on bracelets, I use 3M Imperial Wet/Dry sandpaper in 1,500 or 2,000 grit. It renders an effect pretty much completely indistinguishable from the stock brushing on most bracelets.
Hmmmm, don't like the all polished blinged-out look of it now.
Like Solar G-Shocker recommended above, send it to Jack at IWW and have him fully brush it.
