    Got a Ploprof

Crazy day... my wife and I walked into an Omega AD here in town and walked out with two watches. My wife got the new Planet Ocean chrono and I got this:

I am still a little numb. It is far and away the biggest, most irrational watch purchase I've ever made. But no regrets. This thing is the most amazing, bold, ugly, purpose-built watch.

A very poor wrist shot. More to follow when my hand is steadier.

The dealer is throwing in a black rubber strap for me for free. The orange is cool but less practical (as if this watch is about practicality).

My wife's Planet Ocean is gorgeous as well. 38mm is a sensible size and is identical to the full size PO chrono in every way.

it is funny. I had a similar experience today. I had to fool my wife that I wanted to go downtown and check out the Patek Philippe exhibiyion, but in fact I wanted her to tell me if she liked the new 40mm Pam.
    She did.
So I bought it, and now I have the perfect X-mas present for he!!!
So, no pic untill the 24th.
And I found myself a 49th birthday present. Which is in April.

    Wtf?

So, it was all leading up to this, huh? Well, you've led us all on a merry chase, and lemme tell you, sir, it was worth it.

A HUGE congrats to you (and the missus, of course); wear that sucker in good health.

    Regards,
    Adam
