Hi Everyone,
By now you have probably seen the new Halios Blue Laguna.
It is not an unusual design compared to the other Laguna's that Jason has released, but I do like the blue dial on this one.
It may not be your dark blue like on the Seiko Sumo, but it really stands out in my opinion (ok, I may be a little biased).
I decided to take the Halios bracelet off and put on the Omega Mesh. On mesh, the watch just floats on the wrist. Also, I believe it is much more usuable for a wide variety of situations, from work to kicking around.
This last week, I had the opportunity to sit down and have lunch with Jason from Halios (he works and lives in Vancouver, where I live too).
Jason is a super down to earth guy. He really wants his designs to be unique, including sketching them out. He builds absolutely no homages... his watches are designed from scratch (no house cases, or off the shelf cases, are used in his watches).
Only bad thing in meeting him, was that Jason had no upcoming prototypes to show me. None, according to Jason, were ready for 'prime time'.
A teaser - one of his next watches will be a size closer to the bluering, perhaps a little smaller, and the height in the 12 to 14 mm high (to top of crystal).
Regardless, on Omega mesh, I really like how the Halios Blue Laguna has turned out.
I hope that you like it too!

Here are some comparisons to other Halios watches in my repertoire!
