Has the JLC Deep Sea Vintage Chrono Missed Our Notice?

Just stumbled across this watch which I don't think has been discussed here yet. The JLC Deep Sea Vintage Chrono.

I think it's pretty...and pretty expensive...but if I had bottomless pockets, I'd buy one. I know it's not a truly historic piece, but it captures the flavor of one very well. Even the vintage lume looks nicely natural and not pure orange.

    What do you guys think?

I loved it, until I heard the bezel is stationary.

useless bezel, & if I spend that much money, I should be able to drive it home.

No doubt, it's a beautiful watch. But the fixed bezel and size (40.5mm) are big minuses for me. Think I'd take a harder look at the non-vintage Deep Sea Chrono.

What do people think of Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph

Many comments on the fixed bezel. It hinders its utility even if its a $10K poseur.

If I recall correctly, the version you posted is available only from JLC boutiques and comes with the fixed bezel, but there is another version available that has a three-register layout and that model has a rotating bezel.

I did see that one as well. Like them both and agree about the bezel. Don't know what the basis of that decision was. Still, I like the look and while I'd never marry it, I'd take out for a dance or two.

Re: Has the JLC Deep Sea Vintage Chrono Missed Our Notice?

I think it is gorgeous, and damn near perfect in execution.
However, I would prefer the Deep Sea Chronograph. ISO rating, killer little red accent and just so damn classy. Definite grail for me.

Only trying to purchase keepers... The key word is trying.
