If you can't follow through on any transaction then don't have it listed to begin with, regardless of whatever comes up in life, LIST it, get payed for it, ship it out, even if you ship it out on the way to your personal crisis, but ship it out, it's INTEGRITY and the right thing to do.

Make a claim get your moolah back and move on.

Ok, so now the big question...will USPS update when the parcel IS accepted/mailed?

If the package is accepted and shipped, it will update on the tracking page. Don't be surprised if there's a little delay with updates to the USPS tracking page though, I've found through past experience that USPS's tracking system is much slower at updating than FedEx's or UPS's tracking system.

I was shocked to see the location that you posted. I'm in that same zip code you mentioned and I use that post office located in the zip all the time. They are usually pretty decent on getting stuff where it needs to go. I've sent out tons of packages from there with tracking info and watched it update day by day/step by step as I made sure everything was going as planned. I havent had a package not arrive at its destination since ive used them. It is a small PO, and they usually send things down to Opa Locka FL where the huge sorting facility is, as ive noticed with packages of mine. They are pretty good at updating the info as well. I hope everything works out for you and you get your package.

That's what I've found also. I ship with UPS when I sell just because of the better tracking.

To echo what others have said - expect the USPS site to update slowly but surely by tomorrow if he actually shipped it. If USPS doesn't show a change, the do a chargeback the your credit card company NOT through PayPal.

They don't give a rat's ass about you. Seriously. Do it directly through your credit card. I once had a deal go sour with PayPal and because I paid using money in my account rather than a credit card, I was SOL. Now I only pay using a credit card. I don't trust PayPal to protect me one bit. (I hope you didn't send the funds as a gift.)

USPS updates usually occur in the evening so if it doesn't at least show "accepted" by the next morming then I would say the seller just paid for and printed a mailing label to get you a fake tracking number with no intention of really shipping it.
