Help me decide: Certina DS Action Diver or Longines Hydroconquest

    Hey guys,
I have raised funds to purchase a new watch, I want something as a daily wear and I have narrowed my choice between the Certina DS Action Diver and the Longines Hydroconquest.

I am currently leaning towards the Certina because it looks rugged and is pretty conservative. The only worry is the 43.2mm diameter, I am not sure how it will look on my (very close to) 6.75inch wrist

I have no worries about the Longines, its just that the Certinas design is more appealing and it is ISO 6425 certified ( I have yet to find out if the Longines is ISO certified as well).

    Watched in question.

    Certina DS Action Diver

    Longines Hydroconquest

    Thanks

I voted Certina... I owned it and it rocks! I personally dislike the Longines dial/hand combo... plus I seem to remember the Certina being far more affordable.

    Shivy,
My vote is with the Longines. I've never owned one, but have handled a few and they are very solid watches. I suppose you could argue that the Longines is slightly "higher-end" and therefore better, but someone will likely disagree with that statement. However, everything from the awesome bracelet to the caseback engraving to the unique styling reaffirms it as the choice for me.
Best of luck with a good dilemma

The Certina just calls to me a bit louder. That's what I would choose.

I owned a Certina DS Action Diver, great looking watch so, for me is the winner here, never liked the Hydro.
Go for it, will look great on your 6.75 inch wrist, don't worry.

i've always been a big fan of both. if you could put the Hydroconquest hand set on the Certina, that would be the perfect dress diver, IMO

i'm fairly certain the Hydro meets ISO 6425 (but someone will jump all over me if i'm wrong )

tough call, but i think i would have to give a slight edge to the Certina

How big are your wrists? it looks like that is the most your wrist can handle.
    Great pics :D
