    Helson Tortuga Blue?

Hi folks, I was wondering if there are wrist-shots of the blue tortuga with the alternate bezel and mesh bracelet? Or if someone could take such a shot?

My google-fu seems to fail me this time. I am trying to decide which colour Tortuga to buy, they all look so nice.

Also, since the bezel is swappable, I was wondering if anyone makes custom bezels for it?

Here's a thread from last month that you may or may not have seen.

Thanks mellonb1, I have been whetting my appetite with these and other photos, but it seems there's no photo of blue Turtle with mesh & alternate bezel at the same time? Wonder why that is?

Probably because most people tend to prefer the black bezel with the fully lumed indices. I'm pretty sure the alternate bezel is only lumed on the pip.

When I had my Tortuga, I never even tried the alternate bezel since I thought the black bezel looked much better.

Yes maybe so. I kinda like the alternative bezel more judging from the pics, but seems like I can't go wrong whichever colour I pick? The vivid blue would be nice for a change, I only have Mako II with blue face. On the other hand the orange one looks lush... ;|

Since it looks like there aren't any such pics I was looking for, I took the liberty of photoshopping a couple of pics. Took the blue face from one pic, and inserted it into another. I didn't ask permission from the people who posted the original pics, but I hope they won't mind this little edit. Here's what it looks like:

Seems like the alternative doesn't look too shabby on the blue Tortuga either? And it certainly transforms the look, doesn't it?

The stainless steel bezel with a brown strap makes the blue dial pop, and totally different look.

I owned both a black and blue dial and I sold the black one. The blue one is a keeper.

Also the orange dial is a looker too. It also rarely comes up for sale.

Well, in the end I went with the Orange Tortuga. Might get the blue one one day, as it's still calling me...anyways, with the optional mesh bracelet this watch is very complete a set, as you can see:

I also have a question for other Tortuga owners out there: does the metal bezel rotate more freely on your Tortuga? What I mean is, mine rotates pretty loosely, you don't have to even depress it to rotate it clockwise. The black bezel is much tighter (and I have tightened the ring well in each case).

Congrats on the Tortuga. No input on the bezel.

It's been a watch I've been eyeing for a while now. I have the black numeral dial in the competition as well, so picking could take a while.
