Thought I'd add my comments about this design. I like the basic direction they were going, but this is what I don't like:

Crown looks top heavy. I turned the picture upside down, and I think it looked a lot better. I'd prefer to see it at 7:30 or 4:30.

I never understood the point of one single Arabic labelled number. It's almost the only big thing on the watch that is curved. I'd prefer to see it as a big triangle or something abstract.

I never understand the obsession with colored second hands, especially on dive watches. It seems to me that the minute hand should be colored, since that is what dive watches measure, and that is what lines up with the bezel. I'd be tempted to swap out the rather ordinary hands for one with colored minute hand.

The hour markers look a bit small to me. Even if the lume is good, they'll tend to vanish as the night wears on. Same comment probably applies to the hour hand.

Great job Brice. Excellent review and pics, and thank you to Hexa for letting a fellow member review this highly anticipated watch. I had #200 (bead blasted) reserved, then backed out awhile ago due to some reservations with the style/design. Well, after this review I may have to reach back out.

Great review. I, too, am waiting on a bead-blasted K500, so I'm pretty jealous that you got to wear one for a week! An idea that I'm sure Hexa has thought about: maybe designing fitted endlinks for sale at a later date? I know I'd pay extra down the road for a fitted bracelet. This is absolutely the only other watch I can get this year, per the wife, so I can't wait for this one!

Nice to see some more info and pics on the Hexa K500. Thanks Brice! I have ordered the bead blasted/pvd version as well. This seems to be one the most popular versions. Have also bought two Nato straps that are awaiting marriage to the K500! The fact that the design elements are different and the simple easy to read dial and bezel are what got me. The only reservation I have is the slight (overhang) that the lugs seem to display on wrist due to the flatness of the lugs. I wish they were a little more sloped downward but I haven't worn the watch so I might be pleasantly surprised when I get mine in the flesh. Cheers.

I was in on the pre order, but the end links really let down the whole look to me, so I pulled out a while back. I wear 95% of my watches on bracelets, so it has to look good to me, and unfortunately the current one lets the whole watch down IMO. I'd be quite happy to pay a few hundred extra if it came with a decent bracelet, but unfortunately it's not to be at the moment.
