Exclamation insider info on the Dagaz Tsunami2

i've been on Skype with Jake the last couple nites and we discussed the T2 project. i specifically asked what i could share and nothing was top-secret

    progress is being made!!

-10 (maybe more) new dials in the pipeline: 6105 style with and w/o date, Explorer and Explorer II styles, PO and Ploprof styles, Black Bay styles, FFF styles, some mil dials (one like the IWC Mk) and one i suggested to him that i'm gonna keep a secret for now

-in less than 6 hrs he's taking a trip "deep into the PRC" to his handset supplier to see what he can get made up. i suggested something like the Hydroconquest which he got very excited about (he just snagged a ladies for his wife). he's restocking a number of popular handsets and should have at least a few new styles incl Snowflakes w/the diamond second hand

-case supplier is going to be the same as the T (which he couldn't be happier with their finishing job) and orders must be placed before the HK watch fair in Sept or there's gonna be a MAJOR delay in T2

-his feeling right now is we should start seeing them "by winter time" which, given the state of the last of the Tsunami orders being built, is more than reasonable IMO. in our discussions, i had some eye-opening info fed to me in regards to case production, watch assembly, yada-yada (so lay off Roland and i'll refrain from any more threadbombing the Olivier thread )

so, you guys waiting for your new Tsunami please be patient. he's working extremely hard to get them assembled properly while juggling massive amounts of e-mail, orders for parts, his family and the T2 production

EDIT: one other thing- a new website is in the works. some cool technology that will smooth out the ordering process will be a major component

Sounds pretty awesome, I been planning a Seiko mod but nothing he has right now for parts is really striking me, so some new dials and hands will be cool. The Hydroconquest hands are some of my favorite of all time. I'm also glad he is staying with the same case supplier, I was pretty surprised and very impressed with the finishing on the Ts, especially at the pricepoint considering all the other goodies Noah/Jake designed and packed into that watch. Sounds like an exciting few months coming up for us Seiko/Jake B. fans!!!! Good stuff Mr. Duke!!!

I can't wait! I hope the crystal is domed and highly chamfered like the orginal. It's such a cool looking watch. Is the date going to have to be at 4:30 on these to keep the lines of the orginal case?

yeah, it's at 4:30. couldn't be helped due to the NE15 config, otherwise the crown would be in the wrong spot IIRC

Good News...love the big asymmetrical cushioned case of the 6105.

Jake had a thread asking about the date position awhile back, the 6105's had the date at 3 o'clock, but we will just have to wait and see what Jake decides. ( oops looks like answer got posted before this one)
Hydroconquest hands huh? Would look stunning.
Secret style hands also? Can''t wait!!!

would love to see some cathedral style hands of the SARB's...but not sure how they would look on such a toolish 6105.

I'm sure he'll do it the right way like on my Fieldmaster where it's centered between the 4 and 5 o'clock markers and not the wrong way like on the Spork where it looks like it was just thrown wherever.
