Comparing the Irreantum Magellan to a Doxa 5000t is an embarrassment that makes the Magellan look an amateur effort. The OP's Doxa is on sale in the forum so I question his many recent postings on the Doxa.

And sir what exactly do you question ? I have had many questions about the two so I put this post up for those that were interested. If your
not ,fine move on. And since the magellan new is a 5th the price of the Doxa one would not truly compare the two on all levels. I resent your
Insinuation and the only reason I posted the watch fs was I had a shot at a long time grail and its the only way I can cover it atm.

Just on the looks, I prefer the Mag.

Doxa may have the better inner qualities, but can not seduce me....

Maybe we have to pay to much "marketing money" for the Doxa, as for Rolex, Breitling, Pan, Omega,..............
I know, have done this too :)

No but no one knows for sure if they are swiss made or produced by the Doxa owned Hong KOng company Walca as least thats what I could gather reading
the web. People get to hung up on stuff thats irrelevant. Its a great watch..lots and I mean lots of the bigger boys do similar practices so I wouldnt be naive
about it and in the end the only thing that matters is you like your watch and it does its job...... Stop trolling and move on

I was just curious as so many watches come from the east and with the similar packaging as a few others I was only asking. At the end of the day we all enjoy watches for various reasons I do not think this is a bad thing where an item is manufactured you can appreciate the design and manufacture of the design. The homage and inspiration behind some newer models is a trend that will only continue.

I think the dial, hands, and bezel font in the Magellan are absolutely ugly. The case shape is nice though... and since this watch is obviously a homage, I wish Magellan had just gone ahead and made a similar dial, hands, and bezel text.... it would have been so much better looking.
