Now that the Jaws watch has finally been revealed I'll bet the price of these vintage pieces will rise significantly. In fact, if you go to eBay right now there is an Alsta auction listed as "The Jaws Watch"...even though it is the wrong model Alsta...

If you do a search on e-Bay you'll find two being auctioned as "The Jaws Watch"...and they are not even the correct case design.

Yesterday there was one on the 'Bay that actually had the correct bracelet but not the correct case and hands...and it lasted less than a day with a "Buy it Now" price of $525.00!!!

I wouldn't call it a mediocre watch. One of the points of the article was that it compared well to the higher end divers of the day. Comparing it to a Rolex might be a bit much, but maybe a Doxa or a Zodiac Seawolf. It had a rock solid, reliable ETA movement and a chunky 300m case. What's not to like?
