Of course, I'll be away until June 4th! Oh well, I won't be worrying about the ship time, I'll be off enjoying my vacation.

I went with a black strap, and I'm not sure if I made a mistake. I mean, it'll probably be changed out anyway, but still....

    Either way, #86 is inbound!
Thanks for the reminder, I just ordered mine with the black w/red stitching. It's great Dion gave an option for the strap!

^^^^ Dion told me that only the brown strap comes with a PVD buckle. I already have the black leather/red stitch from my Moana Pacific Diver so I wanted to opt for just the watch, no brown strap. I wonder if the black/red strap you receive will have a PVD buckle?

I just sent him an email about the black strap and PVD buckle. We'll see what he says.

The PVD is a pretty nice looking watch.

I opted for the brown strap because I love the pictures as they are, and I have a black isofrane waiting in the wings when I'm in the mood for a black strap.

You know, I really dislike that style of strap. I think it's called an ammo strap? Super thick, not all that comfortable, and with those ridiculous caricature keepers. I took my stock strap off my Bronze and put it on a Hirsch Liberty (itself not a wimpy strap) and it's such an improvement in comfort and wearability.

Is this a common complaint about the Chocolate strap? Are reviews of the black different? Maybe then I should order with the black and just order a Crown & Buckle Chevlon later on.

I doubt it's a very common complaint; these types of straps seem to be all the rage these days, just like those awful Panerai style buckles. It might just be me.

I own both the Magrette black leather strap (with black stitching) and the Magrette chocolate brown strap (with bronze buckle). The black strap is one of the best straps I've ever owned: extremely supple and well made. It would look great on any of the Magrette watches. The chocolate brown strap is a disappointment. It's is probably one of the most uncomfortable straps I have ever worn. It is too thick, too hard, and even the shade of brown is unattractive.

I bought a lighter shade of brown, calf strap with red and white stitching from Roland Tennebaum (of Olivier watches) and the Bronze Magrette watch looks better than ever.

You would be better off asking for a black strap with black stitching. (If they are still available.)

    +1

The Magrette black with red stitch is a fabulous strap. Really supple and the leather has a nice grain to it. The only reason it's not on my Moana Pacific Diver at the moment is because Mr Orange Isofrane is the boss, and he says no.
