I just realized that's the same case as my Benarus Moray III! I LOVE that case! It just REALLY sucks that they:didn't lume the bezel(NOT a deal killer) on the PVD model,06/12 looks TERRIBLE IMO(the REAL deal killer for me) & polished the top.Pvd finish should be ALL brushed!I just don't understand designers, how can they get so close to perfection & then with 1 simple mistake kill a whole design?Maybe I could forgive not luming the bezel & maybe even the combo finish but come on,EVERYONE knows the face of a clock, what possible reason could there be for putting those numbers on there & am I the ONLY person who thinks it ruins the symmetry of the dial?

As for the dial markings, I believe that's their "signature" look. I think it was their first watch that was designed like that and they have stuck with it when using arabics on their dials and I quite like it and the fact that they stick to their design roots. I also like the fact that the whole PVD case isn't done in one finish as it seems most PVD watches are. The mix of brushed and polished PVD finishes seems to add a bit of character ala Bremont Supermarine Descent Limited Edition.

Magrette just keeps on impressing me as a company and with their products. Out of the 52 watches I've flipped, the Magrette Regattare Moana Pacific I sold had by far the most interest to the point where it was getting ridiculous and annoying. I had marked all of my listings as sold (it sold in about 15 minutes) and I was still getting inquiries 6 months later... pretty unreal.

That being said, I caved in and put in my deposit... aye...

I like Seagull movements ... every Seagull mvt Ive had has worked flawlessly, quietly amd looked good. Plus we need viable alternatives to Swiss movements ... to ensure decent competition and pricing in the marletplace

I was all set to order the Moana Pacific, until I realized it's PVD...would much prefer natural stainless. I'll have to think about it...

If the chrono is using the same case as the Moana Pacific Diver, then it doesn't share the same case as the Moray III. They are very similar, but if you hold them side by side (i own both) you can see they are not identical. I really like the polished/brushed combo on the Pacific Diver. am not a fan of PVD so I need to see some more pics before I buy in. As for the numbers, they don't bother me, but I can see it would have been better perhaps to go with the markings they used on the Regattare, maybe even replacing the 12. Could be a cleaner look for a chrono.diver.

A screw down crown on a manual movement is a NO. I can't see myself unscrewing it every day. First it's annoying, and secondly the mechanism will break very quickly.

What a shame! It's indeed a great looking watch.
    Have a wonderful time...

Not necessarily. Most vintage Vostok Amphibias are hand wound and I've never seen one with a damaged crown mechanism. It all comes down to whether the system is designed to be used daily or not.

Screw down crown for a manual doesnt sound like a good idea. I am alway paranoid about cross threading threads when i switch watches and have to wind it up. The watch does look great, maybe they will add a auto in the future
