I think there might be something wrong with the movement/crown on mine. I was unscrewing it to wind it just now, and as soon as I finished unscrewing it, the hands started spinning backwards, but it wasn't in the setting position, since I could still pull it out to another position. When I tried to wind it, it wound for a bit and then screwed back in, without me applying any pressure to push the crown into the threads. I tried this a couple of times to see what if my own actions were the problem, so it wound fully and now the crown won't screw back in.

I'll give it another try tomorrow to see if I have the same issue, and if I do, I think I'll need to email Dion.

These look fantastic. Wish they would have made the Mona Pacific diver longer.

Uh oh, this was one of the concerns people voiced early on (manual wind with screw in crown), hopefully it's not a realization of those concerns. :(

2 movement issues posted so far. Honestly, made me even more wary about getting one. Though The PVD looks darn awesome in those "real world" photos!

It happened again last night, but I think I figured out how to work around it. While unscrewing, just keep slight pressure on the crown so it doesn't pop out. It seems that it engages the hand movement mechanism backwards before it is able to move them forward.

I'll give it another day and then maybe send Dion an email over the weekend if it's still an issue.

(I'll say now that I had earlier stated my reservations about a Chinese movement...I don't believe Dion's work is the issue here.)

I wouldn't do this. Sooner or later the movement winding stem will unlock itself, or worse break itself.

Get it fixed as soon as possible.
    Have a wonderful time...

I think it would be nice if you tried all of them and posted photos of the results on the thread...

You're probably right, I'll email Dion tonight.

EDIT: I just sent him an email now.

Possibly the problem is not with the movement but perhaps with the tolerances of the screw down crown? I had a similar issue with a watch with a screw down crown that had a slightly too short stem installed.
