Question LF: Titanium Dive Watch - Severe Nickel Allergy

    HELP!

I am looking for a Titanium Dive watch due to severe allergic reactions to even trace amounts of Nickel. I have scoured the Internet and have not had much luck coming across a watch that fits what I am looking for.

Please offer any suggestions that come close to the specs, it will be greatly appreciated!

    Cost: <$1000
    Band: Any
    Movement: Swiss or Japanese Automatic
    Case: 43mm+ (preferred 47-50mm)
    Nickel Content: 0

Benarus has been the closest with the MEGALODON 4 - TITANIUM, but I am not in love with the faces they offer...

    Thanks for your time!

    EDIT!
For those of you stumbling on this post, I am going to try to compile the list of watches recommended to save you some time:

    Titanium Automatic Dive Watches:

    Quartz
    • Victorinox Swiss Army Dive Master 500
      • Home - Victorinox Swiss Army
      • Movement: Quartz (I found the one before, but I am having trouble finding it again, will update if I do)
      • Diameter: 43mm
      • Cost: $850 (MSRP)

Helson Sharkdiver comes in Ti 1099.99. Used one on the forums for under 900.00 atm. H2O Kalmar sells for around 1100 for basic kit and can be found pre-owned under 1k. Certina does a diver in that orice range as well. Dievas also does one right under 1k. Oris makes several but you would have to go pre owned to stay near budget.

    47mm case
    auto

plus most of the Damaskos are nickel free, ice hardened steel -- will those work if nickel free?

Thanks! I was found a few from Oris that I liked, but at the moment, just too far out of my range :(

Edit: How on earth have I not found Helson before now, I am ashamed!

Wow, loving the Gauge 1000, that will fit me well!

I have tried other "nickel free" watches, they are usually ok as far as the case goes, but the clasps usually have trace amounts and cause me to break out with in ten minutes... Also when active, my sweat reached the pins and caused breakouts as well. I have thought about doing a PVD Nato strap or something of the like, but just have not had the balls to do it...

Keep us posted on what you purchased and how your skin reacts after some active wear.
My sister has the same problem and has been basically watch free her whole life.
Being a nurse she needs to track time so I'm interested on where your purchase leads you.

I recall an article wherein the fellow used caseback adhesive pads on his watches, thus separating it from his wrists. I guess the sst bracelet would have to be replaced with leather or nylon as well.

You can find some used Oris Titan C divers for _around_ $1000 (you may need to go $100 more). Other Titan Titanium divers may also be suitable.

edit: Or get a leather strap with a leather backing that sits behind the watch to separate it from your wrist. That could work too :)

I purchased this grey market for $930 shipped. All titanium. I hate SS. Wonderful watch. Wearing it now.
