I really like the looks of the JSAR, will have one when the right one pops up. But what I like about all of the Marathons ? The crown. Love that tough, industrial no-nonsense bullet-proof-looking crown.
And the steel mesh bracelet is growing on me too, would like to find an affordable one.
    Yea buddy.

And the JSAR is no slouch in the lume department, either:

ETA: The JSAR is also known officially as the Marathon LGP (Le Grand Plongeur)

Two main reasons why I like my GSAR:

    1) Tritium powered lume.
    2) The most functional bezel of any dive watch I own.

Yeah, I get it. What's not to get?

So what I learned is that people who don't like tool watches don't like Marathon tool watches ... hmm ...

Although I know these watches have great functions, I'm just not a fan of its form - dial being too busy. Does the military require all 24 hrs to be marked on a watch?

I don't know if it's a requirement. But, it certainly helps seeing that's what military time is...00-24hrs.
Makes sense that this feature is on a military issue watch.
