So this MWC diver showed up on Thursday, I needed a cheap mil-style quartz diver to replace my JSAR so I grabbed this off the bay for $110. Watch came from the UK.
Watch came in a standard tin, nothing fancy. The case is the same size as a Ray Psuedo-Rhula. 43mmx52mmx15mm. 24mm lugs and actually came on a very nice tire tread strap w/ deployment buckle. I swapped it to a 24mm Zulu. The case is satin/blasted except for the caseback w/ faux mil markings.
Pros as I see them. Case is nice and large (which is what I like) but not too overbearing, fairly light weight (I have been wearing my Deep Blue 2000m) and this is a nice change. Cheap so I can bang it around a bit and not feel too bad about it. 200m w/r with a nice smooth screwdown crown, quickset date and a smooth bezel. I am actually very suprised by the lume on this watch I wasn't expecting too much but it is quite decent, very bright green when fully charged and lasts longer than I would have expected, don't get me wrong this is not Marathon or Seiko lume but not bad.
Cons: Second hand doesn't hit hash marks (but do they ever?) a bit of bezel play (but the bezel is super smooth). Okay that's all the cons I have but what can you say for $110? Just what I needed it for. Needed it for a beater/daily wearer that I am not scared to wear, took it to Wyoming yesterday for a day of fly-fishing and it faired better than my cell phone that took a swim, too bad they fon't make 200m cell phones.
