My Bronze Journey - Zenton B42

I purchased my Zenton B42 back in May 2011. I always fancied a bronze watch and at the time Helson and
Benarus had already launched their bronze offerings but I really liked the simplicity of the bezel less B42.
It looked elegant, timeless and less of the typical over sized divers watch. Being made from UNI 5275 also appealed as its the same alloy as Anonimo had used.

It arrived quickly and I was impressed:

    With my PRS 3 LE

After 7-8 months of wear the patina started to build naturally:

After Benarus and Helson had recalled their bronze models I supsected Zenton would to and sure enough they did. They handled the situation very well and replaced the case with an alloy made from AB5S (CuAl11Fe6Ni6).
It feels and looks very impressive, with a light gold sheen to the case which I hope will tarnish nicely with wear.

One of the greatest bronze watches !

I love the simple case and dial.

    Unfortunately no longer available.

it looks like an instrument gauge on an old battleship. i personally could not pull this off but kudos for the 'cool' factor as well as the 'conversation' factor. it looks like in a pinch you could always use it as a self-defense weapon too.

My # 10 says hi, which I arrived last week and I have to say the new bronze is very nice....The colour is very unique light gold/light olive...I'm glad they went with something different considering everyone is on the CuSn8 band wagon....Which is fine as I have one but this is nice and different....Congrats on yours and def. worth the wait. Kudos to Michael and Jurgen for making the process nice and smooth.

To add: I spoke with Jurgen and he has a sample of CuSn8 and this bronze. CuSn8 did patina faster so patience on this one. You could go LOS but I think I will let this one age on it's own.

I saw one with the new replaced case up for sale in WUS FS. Do a search for "bronze" and it should come up in the top 5 in the FS section. It's not mine but I know some of you were looking for one....
