My first swiss chronograph quartz diving watch

My first swiss chronograph quartz arrived. I have a few swiss automatic chronograph but never a swiss quartz chronograph. Previous own a few jap movt chronograph but they either offer only 1hr timer or 12 hrs timer without 30mins subdial timer. Imagine you need to strain your eye looking at the small 60mins subdial looking for how many mins has passed???

What swiss quartz chronograph movt offer is superior layout with 12 or 10 hrs timer with 30mins subdial. Very practical and useful. Much much superior than any Japan chronograph quartz movt offer.

I bought this Stuhrling Atlantis acropolis chronograph for $181 plus shipping from amazon. The black ring sub dial face is what caught me ,push me to buy this watch.

    The packaging is insanely huge.
You can see the the watch packaging box is as big as my caterpillar shoe packaging.

Open it, you will see a long watch box from Stuhrling. I thought I bought a wine instead of a watch. LOL..

Inside the watch box is a beautiful package with quality stuff. I love it!

The watch is as beautiful as what the picture I seen from online. Nice. Size is 41.5mm excluding crown. Not a very big watch.

The backcase is nicely engrave. Not as deep and clasp like Longines Hydroconquest or Omega PO diving watch but much much better than normal quality backcase. I will rate it above average.

The original lume is so so. Average lume.

I decide to relume this watch and the backcase is super tightly closed. I spend 10 mins open the backcase even with proper tools. Once open it, you see a beautiful 6 jewel ronda swiss quartz movt. The most beautiful quartz movt I have seen so far. Expected, you see a plastic holder but what do you expect when you paid less than 200 hundred bucks for it?

After an hour of hardwork, the relume is completed. Now it looks more like a quality swiss timepiece.

The clasp is nicely done and quality too. Overall, its incredible this whole package of swiss diving chronograph watch cost less than $200. I am a very happy owner of my first Stuhrling watch.
