Need help with my Ocean Explorer crown

Hi all. I need your help with this issue: I unscrewed the crown of my beloved OE to adjust the time. But now for some reason or other, I'm not able to push in the crown and screw it back in. I'm able to wind, adjust the date and time, no problem with that. So, can anyone advise me on this?
    Thanks folks.

    Keith

    Hello Keith,
When you apply pressure to the crown to push it in, try gently turning the crown counter-clockwise while holding it in.
At a certain point it should give a little (move inwards slightly), that is the crown thread engaging and you can then start turning the crown clockwise to screw it in.

If however you cannot push the crown in at all, then please disregard the above suggestion as it may be something else.

    regards,
    george

Yep the backthreading (turning it backwards when you push the crown in) is the trick to engaging the threads. Then turn normally the correct direction to screw it down. I have a DOXA which is just like this.
    Lots of dive watches.
