Need some help - sumo bracelet issues...

Well, the issue is most likely with me. I received a marinemaster clasp today in the mail to replace my damaged sumo clasp *WOOHOO* - however the band is now a touch too short.

so... I decided to put the only remaining link back in. As I started to do that I noticed that the link pin was not holding fast. As it turns out, and perhaps some of you already know this, there is a fixed fat end and the other end is actually a sleeve that can slide on the pin itself.

Well... when i removed the link when I got the watch I must have lost that little sleeve on one pin, so I can't put the link back in. Now when I went to put what i had back together, I pushed the little sleeve down on the remaining pin, so now I can't get the darn thing back together.

So, long story short, is this something that a good jeweler could fix for me (i.e. new pins) or, given that this is a JDM watch, am I in for a long road to fixing?

    thx,
    Chris

Shouldn't be that bad I had the same problem with a seiko, the Seiko service center was a 45min drive in Sydney and they sorted me out in 2 minutes.

I don't know if the Sumo uses special pins and collars or if Seiko has some standard ones for various models. Either way, it should be relatively easy to get some replacement collars. I would try and contact Seiko USA or even Seiko Japan or perhaps go to your local AD and see if they can help. You might also try one of the Japanese ADs like Chino or Higuchi also. I think perhaps even O-Frei or Jules Borel may sell them too.

This is a fairly common problem with bracelets such as these...

thanks for the helpful suggestions. I'm going to go to a seiko dealer/jeweler this weekend and see if they can help me out.
If not, perhapse I'll try higuchi... I was able to get one pin and collar back to working order, but it is back to being just a tad too snug. I'm hoping I can get things sorted out sooner than later, I am anxious to have my bracelet back. The marinemaster clasp is a piece of work, it's just a bit smaller and the extension makes it a tad thicker as well - but it is pretty sweeeet...
