Need some new Shoes For My Cave Dweller

So I just received my first Cave Dweller (I know I know, I'm behind the times). While I love the bracelet, especially the Divers extension, I'm looking for an alternative. I'm not a huge fan of the Boschett Rubber strap, except for the fit at the lugs due to the curve. I've searched through many Cave Dweller review and Cave Dweller vs _____ threads, but no luck in finding any recos. With so many creative member here (I'm looking at you Sheriff), has anyone come up with something to match the Cave Dweller's substantial bulk?

    Thanks.

OK, OK, so you're calling me out! lol

To be honest, both of my Cavedwellers lived primarily on their bracelets, like you said, that bracelet is just great and looks and wears sooo nicely on the CD.

That said, I did try a couple of other straps, though I don't know how many pics I took along the way, I'll have to see what I can dig up. I can tell you this, while I too appreciate the fitted ends of the Boschett rubber, like you I wasn't that particularly fond of the strap otherwise. But, the great news is, the Sinn Rubber strap with large deployment looks AND FITS PERFECT on the Cavedweller. Like it was made for it. I think that combo is what makes me miss my Cavedwellers most. A good buddy of mine just picked up a CDII and a Sinn Rubber, and man, I was instantly jealous and remorseful for letting both of mine go!

    My grey CDII on Sinn...

    found a couple more...

    here's a few on Zulu...

and one on black rubber/yellow stitching

The original bracelet w/ ratcheting clasp is awesome. If rubber is what you want, the ISO is killer.

Thanks for the responses guys. I assumed that an Iso would be a popular choice, but had no idea about the Sinn. I might have to give that a whirl.

I have pics of my now long gone cdii on 4 or 5 different straps. I'll post them for you tomorrow. I never found one that could keep up with the height except for a 5 ring Zulu.

    Here ya go:

    Stingray:

    Home made Leather :

    Banda Shark Leather:

    2 ring Zulu:

    2 ring Bond Zulu:

And the only one that kept up with the beefy case, the 4 ring Zulu:

Enjoy! It's a fantastic watch, but I couldn't ever find a strap other than the stock options that worked on it.

+1 on the Sinn rubber. I wear mine exclusively on it. My only (minor) complaint is that the ends don't *quite* match the contour of the lugs. Other than that, it's perfect.

Only shot I have of my brother's (now gone) CDII on a great thick leather strap that I thought suited that beast perfectly:

Thanks for the additional input. I stumbled on this 24mm Kain Heritage strap that I had lying around, not using. I squeezed it in between the lugs, and I must say it doesn't look half bad.

That looks excellent. The CDII is an underrated strap watch, IMO.
