    New Deep Blue Turtles

Just got the new DB email and looks like their newest model is the Military Diver 300! It looks just like the Seiko SRPxxx and has a Swiss SW200 movement. Looks nice, like the did with the NATO 300 diver, took a Seiko classic and made some improvements.

I can't wait for all the Seiko lovers to come in here and cry outrage. Face it Seiko lovers, it's just a better version. The sapphire and swiss movement immediately make it superior :)

I'm very tempted to pick one up, especially at the price. Now to decide whether bracelet or rubber strap... I'm usually a bracelet guy. But I might just go with one of their Hydro rubber straps.
Does anyone know what differences are there between the Hydro 55 and the Hydro 91 rubber straps? As far as I can tell, the Hydro 55 tapers from 22mm to 20mm and the Hydro 91 doesn't taper at all.

Let's be honest... the Deep Blue quality control will be just as good, if not better than the Seiko divers. All of my Deep Blue watches have the chapter ring markers aligned with the hour indices and the bezel markings perfectly.

Pres40 takes 40% off to make it $250. Swiss auto and sapphire crystal plus multiple colors like the Padi and orange makes this tempting. I noticed the bracelet is separate but available.

I have both straps from DB. From what I remember.....

    • The Hydro 91 straps are much better quality straps. The Hydro 91 is, thicker, doesn't taper and is a real rubber very similar in feel and flexibility to an Isofrane.

    • The Hydro 55 strap is thinner, tapers, has larger hole openings and feels more like a silicone rubber.

    Re: New Deep Blue Turtles

Im a Huge Seiko Diver lover!, but also a huge DB fan, so it doesnt bother me at all, kind of like the best of both worlds! I got my 4th DB yesterday, another NATO300, this time in PVD Black, and I really like what it improves upon over the SKX... now I still love the SKX, but I love the NATO300 for different reasons.
also im not sure i love the crown at 3:00 on the new Milatary Diver300, I like the look of the crown at 4 on the SRP Turtles. but other than that, the new DB's look awesome! i know ill have one at some point.

    Re: New Deep Blue Turtles

I got the DB email announcement for these watches earlier today. Nice addition to the DB lineup. Might have to get one.

I'd like to see some additional views of these other than the few basically straight-on views posted on the website.

The Coke one looks pretty cool. SW200 and sapphire at $249? Excellent value.
