Real mil-spec equipment is made to work in realworld working conditions where guys will abuse them and not baby them. However, I would rather spend that kind of cash on a luxury watch like Omega or Rolex over something military looking and not as luxurious looking.
I can assure you...some of the nylon/resin watches that meet a spec are nothing special.

Ex: meeting MIL-PRF-46374G, Type I, Class 1... doesn't exactly require a great watch.

I only own a GSAR and have beat the ever loving shiz out of it. Still ticking, Still keeping great time, Still looks like it was meant to be used. I don't know what they have planed in the future for their designs and QC but mine is a keeper and wont die.
    just my 2 cents.

Anyone have any further updates. Last post regarding this watch was last year in April.

I'm working with a Marathon AD here in the U.S. trying to pre-order one from Marathon. No word from Marathon yet as to when it will be available.

I hear they are working on a brand new line in upcoming months. Maybe this is it?

    Over two years in production?!?!

This thread is pure torture at this point...

I officially call B.S. on the Arctic Ranger at this moment. I would also love to be proved wrong! Sigh...

I hope they are coming out with a brand new line... They really need to increase the size of their watches to at least 42mm... preferably 44mm.
