    Re: Olivier Bronze

This thread is a waste of time, didn't the mods lock a similar thread about a week ago? Perhaps the one with over 100 pages should be closed and this one can reflect all those who paid for and haven't received their Olivier Bronze.

That way there will be a place for everyone to show off their really keen bronze buckles and aftermarket straps.

If you open the original thread about Olivier watches you will have an idea of how cool that watch is (could be) and how people really liked it but you wont have an idea that Holland is selling second batch out and 1st batch was sold out but was not delivered, it must be pretty frustating to buyers to wait with no response at all....and they payed non refundable fee.

I should have specified, "start on the last page and work backwards".

you bought a custom watch where you have absolutely 0% chance to control anything....Roland CANNOT control anything, he is merely the "face" of a company who relies on a another company to produce a quality made product for him. Do you think Roland just loves the fact whiny little babies are constantly flooding his inbox with nasty messages, emails, order cancellations are even morons who talked about contacting the local BBB and went so far as researching Rolands past, some of those people are pathetic and I would hope to never cross paths with a person like that. Roland is at the mercy of a manufacturer so once they take there sweet time in producing the product I'm sure Roland will do final QC and ship the item as described...these are the risks we take when buying these "new" micro brands in lieu of getting a damn nice watch for 1/10th the price of most major swiss brands...delays are documented for dozens up dozens of these brands dating back years and years, this should not be a surprise to anyone...../rant

Don't start a company, take peoples money, and offer timelines if you can't deliver on your product. Being just a face of a company gets you only so far if everything you are supposed to "make" is outsourced.

I couldn't agree more. If there's one start-up watch company whose owner has displayed through his interactions and words that he can be trusted, it's Roland. People who have been on these forums a while and have participated in buying even subsidizing a watch project are well aware that delays and snafus beyond the control of the watch company are the rule, rarely the exception. It's been one newbie fueling another to complain. Read the 128 thread pages (and counting). Roland has comported himself beyond reproach, IMO. Very disappointing behavior from people who should know better.

What explains this sudden appearance of so many clueless nightmare customers? Maybe we should check our water supply.

I wonder how much longer this thread will last. For all the time people have waited for watches it's amazing that this is somehow different.

I keep wondering how Roland feels in all of this.. the pressure must be intense.

I'm just curious if it will be a matter of weeks or months before we even hear how long the dials are delayed. And have all the final payments been refunded or is he still working on them? I met Roland and have complete confidence so long as all the naysayers don't drive him insane.
