Strange because on the Oris site it says that the small seconds uses a Sellita movement.

The new ones do but the blue one you have pictured is a older discontinued model (Oris 643, base 2836-2).

I'm partial to the small seconds model. I have a 7 inch wrist and the Oris' in 47mm size fit very well. The newer black model has a ceramic bezel I believe. Sexy watch and I will get one soon too.

My Great Barrier Reef is 47mm but wears more like a 44-45mm & is perfect size IMO.
    My wrist is 7-1/2"

Looks very nice on the wrist, congratulations. I really like the small second blue/orange

And answering the question of the thread ... I prefer the center seconds between these two models.

This is what I finally decided.

I made the decision because I already have watches with the center seconds hand and wanted to change it up. Also, the 47mm wears smaller. I would say around 44mm which is perfect on my 7.25inch wrist. This blue is just awesome. This model has the ETA 2836 Oris 643.

Yes happy with the decision. This thing is killer and not use to such wrist presence.
