    Serket is back

Serket has announced an updated Reef Diver, 3.0, which represents its first new watch in years. The 2.0 watch had a body and crown that were simply too big for my tastes--and I like big watches.

    From the Serket website:

It has those familiar Serket indices and has an interesting bezel.

Anyway, scheduled for this fall, which will be here before we know it. I'm not likely to bite, but there are some fans around here of the 2.0 who might find this to be interesting.

Makes me think of a Boschett. But that's a good thing.

I thought the exact same thing. Looks a LOT like the new harpoon.

They are alive, because they are the physical shape of the action of a living power—of the mind that had been able to grasp the whole of this complexity, to set its purpose, to give it form… they are alive, but their soul operates them by remote control. Their soul is in every man who has a capacity equal to this achievement. Should the soul vanish from the earth, the motors would stop because that is the force which keeps them going - not the oil ...- not the steel cylinders that would have become spots of rust on the walls of the caves of shivering savages- the power of a living mind, the power of thought and choice and purpose.

Looks the same as the 2.0 version. Are there any differences? I'm hoping for a case size of 44mm or less.

If it's just a bit smaller than the 2.0 then I'm in. I never should have sold the original, the one that I regretted selling the most. I think !

A number of small differences, as can be seen in this photo. I cannot tell if the 2.0's 8mm crown is being retained, although its placement is the same.

I've been searching for an original for a long time with no luck! New model is promising... Previous one was a design blunder IMO.
