    Thank you for your clarification.

Will pre-order be closed when itís reached 300? I donít want to pay a deposit without sure that watches is not sold out.

Hope Doxa packages this in a unique and nice way! Maybe a hang tag similar to vintage ones they have done in the past? It would be a very nice touch & would only help distinguish the brand.

Would it be silly to own two retro-styled / sized Doxas? This and my 1000T?

    Because... damn, that's gorgeous.

Maybe if I went with a different dial color... the Sharkhunter is a classic.

Re: Sneak Peak: 50th Anniversary SUB300 Protoype!

Doxa’s really done a great job with this; even better than the 300T reissue! They’ve knocked it out of the ballpark here, and I think they know it!

It’s a much more faithful version of the original than any previous retro versions, with the true BOR, slightly strengthened and improved. (BTW, I haven’t heard any details on the clasp or diver’s extension.) Adding a chronometer movement is pure icing on the cake, and IMHO, elevates this offering significantly! (pure class for not advertising it on the dial! We’re not snobby “superlative” people like some enthusiasts! lol!) Dare we say that it’s even better than an original???

I hope this signals a renewed focus on product development with deep historical roots. Yes, they’ve been doing that all along, but this is just so much… MORE! And BTW, I’m also highly impressed with their newer models, such as the old 5000T and new version, the 6000T. I could easily see that as my everyday wear while I save the LE 300 for special occasions. I believe that’s what Doxa would like to see also, isn’t it?

Finally, like the 300T reissue, I hope this is truly a very special and limited run. I like that they’ve kept the numbers down on this, and I hope that if it’s a wildly successful offering, they won’t come out with a 51st anniversary edition, etc. Why not build a conquistador next?? (get me on that pre-order list! I’ll take a Sharkhunter)

Yeah, you can see that I’m trying to protect the value of mine, even before it’s built! lol! But honestly, I think that’s also in Doxa’s best interest. It’s hard to NOT build a product that’s in demand, but you have to focus on the bigger picture and not flood the market and dilute what makes the brand special, and what WILL increase awareness and elevate it in the perceived pecking order.

    Gawd!! Is it November yet?
