Well, it being May (and I think I read that in May the ordering would be open to all), I took the plunge. The Pro will be my first DOXA, and I can't wait.

Sneak Peak: 50th Anniversary SUB300 Protoype!

I'm in on a Searambler, hoping it will have a orange minute hand. Now the long wait begins. Can't wait til you post more photos of all the models.

Go to the Doxa forum and you'll find the preorder that is open to everyone. They have links there for your credit card. The PayPal link isn't working.

Outstanding! A 13.4mm case height is very manageable ... particularly when one considers that part of that is the box-bubble domed crystal. This watch is about 2mm thinner than the current 1200T (and, for comparison purposes, 1.1mm thinner than a gen1 Planet Ocean 2500).

I also like that the bracelet taper is only 22/20mm (earlier someone had reported that it was 24/20).

Interesting that my original estimate (in #168) was that the dial diameter might be 23-25mm, and it actually will be 25.5mm. I think people who aren't really into the whole retro look of this watch might not care much for a dial that small (and, if they buy one anyway, gives hope to those who plan to wait for the resales to start ). But it's not that much smaller than the 1200T, and is historically accurate in its dimensions.

If I had one niggling concern, it would be the absence of "chronometer" on the dial, given the COSC cal. 2824 (just one of my peculiarities). But it's not a deal-breaker by any means.

Well, this means my 1200T MkII will be moving out to make way for this one. And, if they ship close to when they expect to, it will arrive almost exactly 49 years after I saw my first Doxa 300 close-up.
