Yes, they should be posted as soon as the factory gets back from their summer holiday this week.

Re: Sneak Peak: 50th Anniversary SUB300 Protoype!

I've debated getting one of these anniversary editions, but have decided to pass. Someone recently gave me a Project Aware SUB1000, which is somewhat thinner than my SUB1200T MkII. I put the true-BOR bracelet on the PA SUB1000 and enjoyed wearing this watch for a couple of weeks ... until my longstanding objection to these models became overwhelming. My objection? The jangly, cheap-feeling stamped-metal clasp. Doxa's wrist frisbees have the superb ratcheting foldover clasp, but that is not available on the smaller models with BOR (real or faux) bracelets. And it is well past time that it was.

I'm sure Doxa will counter with the argument that this watch is a replica of the original SUB300, so a machined, ratcheting clasp would be inappropriate. But somehow we're accepting the sapphire crystal, the 316L stainless, the solid-link BOR bracelet and COSC movement. At the very least, the clasp could be offered as an option (or even an add-on).

If Doxa would develop a ratcheting clasp for the true BOR on the MkII, that clasp would be a straight "bolt-on" for this anniversary model (which tapers from 22mm at the endlinks to 20mm at the clasp). Then those of us who hate, hate, hate that cheap stamped clasp could retrofit the newer ratcheting clasp, without ever feeling the watch was diminished by this supposed anachronism.

C'mon, Doxa! Many of us have been clamoring for a ratcheting clasp on the BOR bracelets since the 5000T was first introduced. Given how ubiquitous these clasps have become amongst boutique divers, it shouldn't be exactly rocket science. The much thinner dimensions of this anniversary SUB300 makes for a refreshing offering. Adding a modern clasp would make it irresistible to me, and I'm sure to quite a few others.

Re: Sneak Peak: 50th Anniversary SUB300 Protoype!

What iinsic is talking about is the clasp on the bor
if it's like the one on my doxa 1200 it's pretty terrible tbh very naff with a cheap feel
compare it to the aquadive bor bracelet with ratcheting clasp it's in another league

that said I can easily live with it because their is something special about doxa watches and it's only a clasp I'm not obsessing over it takes nothing away from a great watch and the 300 looks bang on
