I understand this is a Prototype that is why I would like to bring a little suggestion. On the screw back, I think we need a bit of 50th Anniversary remark. Maybe DOXA doesn't need to do as obvious as Casio have achieved (they have done it very well), maybe a little "50th" next to the boat. Currently it is a bit plain.

I'm going from four to five. Just placed my order. It's been quite awhile since I played the "waiting game." Stunning 50th Anniversary watch! Well done Doxa!

What was the material and shape of the original 300 crystal? As nice as sapphire is, there always seems to be that circle of opaque glass around the perimeter. For example, another iconic watch (the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph) can be ordered with sapphire or hesalite crystal. I went with the latter and while it's not as tough as sapphire, I love the domed shaped and all around clarity. While the Doxa was designed for different purposes, I was simply wondering what the original crystal was like in terms of shape and material.

This looks fantastic. I don't normally do the pre-order thing, but will make an exception for this.

Hi, the original material is hesalite and had the same shape the same light refraction characteristics, in fact the pictures show a first Gen. Sharkhunter with same size and curvature.

Liz, in order to stay true to the original 300 Sharkhunters, I would absolutely have to imagine that the minute hand would be white. It'll be even better if the second hand is shiny silver/chrome, as were the originals.

It would be a nice addition and I don't know why they don't offer it on more models. It's still a great offering and I will likely order.

My only "suggestion" would be to add a "chronometre" to the dial, below Doxa automatic.

I like the plain sailboat engrave, as long as it's not laser but deep for me it's fine.
