Looks sweet does it have a dome on it? Pictures look like a dome effect
apart from the 24mm strap what are the differences between this and the 1200t?

This is not a 300 (early 300t), but I think this is what is meant by the 24mm at the lugs.

That is exactly correct as can be seen in the photo. The original 300 bracelet tapered from 20mm down to 18mm at the clasp. We wanted to keep the strength of the 20mm bracelet, but, still give the classic look of the taper, so it tapers from 24mm down to 20mm just after the end link.

It is due to strength and current production techniques. A 16mm clasp is just too fragile for a modern tool watch. This is the main reason original bracelets are so rare!

    Wow, what a beauty !

    Great job DOXA !

What are the colors of the hands of the Searambler version ?

Orange minute hand, black hour hand and a black second hand with a orange box ?

If Rolex, IWC, Seiko, Tudor and others can do 16-18mm clasps that are durable enough I don't see why it can't be done.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Doxa watches but the bulky bracelet just doesn't work for me when using it as a daily wearer.

??? this is how the original design was, it just tapered from 24 down to 16mm, this extreme taper was the biggest weakness of the old bracelet, that is why it was limited to a reasonable 20mm

No they can't and there is non from any of the brands you mention in current production except on small women watches.

Re: Sneak Peak: 50th Anniversary SUB300 Protoype!

I am fortunate enough to own two Doxas (Pro and Searambler 1200t) and thought I had 'enough' for one lifetime. While I wished I had a Diving With Legends (my favorite 1200t), something tells me this Anniversary Doxa is the one to own (at least the 'new one'). For those more knowledgeable than I about Doxa history (i.e., most of you), would you agree?

I can't think of a more comfortable (trim) and fun Doxa (domed crystal, 24-20mm bracelet, almost the same specs as the original). If only the Hesalite/Plexi ... but not complaining!

Plexi would make it better, possibly cheaper too
