Spare Zixen Bracelet Links, any customer service issues with Zixen?

This is a note to all those Zixen owners out there.

I picked up a Zixen mesh bracelet that is one or two links too short.

Zixen declined to sell me a link. Any others have customer service issues like this with Zixen?

I know this is absolutely no problem for most manufacturers (even if they charge you for it). Heck, most micros will provide you a link free of charge. Not looking for charity here, but come on!

Give me a break.... you are telling me that Zixen does not have any spares?

Anyone else have these same issues with Zixen?

    Many thanks!

To be honest, Zixen gave me free screwbars when I asked if I could buy some.

Did they give you a reason or did they just say "no"? I thought Zixen was moving away from mesh to go to the five link bracelet. Is it possible they either dont have any more spares or that they are saving them for service/warranty repair?

Just a thought as Zixen's customer service is usually pretty highly thought of around here.

Oh, I think someone makes/made those bracelets for Zixen. If you find the maker, you may be able to source a link.

    Good grief.
Why did they not sell you a link - are you saying they had them but wouldn't sell? Do you have the watch to go with the bracelet or is the bracelet for something else?

If you have the watch and bracelet and they wouldn't sell when they had them, then they suck.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I've had 3 Zixens, but I've only had 1 warranty issue that went smoothly. Brenda and Joe fixed me up right away. If they have spare links on hand but won't sell any to you, that's just bad CS, plain and simple. If they don't have any spare links to sell, they should have planned ahead and bought some from the supplier. Even if they don't have any on hand, I can't see it being a big deal just to order more from the supplier.

Zixen is one of the best companys out there...and I guess they realized how bad mesh bracelet look...on their watches or any other watch for that matter, and they just want to prevent you from looking bad...)
No, seriously, I bought 5 watches over the years, and never ever encountered any problem...Did they just say 'NO" or did they give you a reason why not??

Joe is super if he had them he would have sent them to you free or for a nominal charge....

Rec you go to strapcode.com and you can buy the same bracelet (without logo) and take the links you need off it and resell to someone who has a smaller wrist!

I have been dealing with Joe and Zinex / Zixen from their very first dive watch. I have always had excellent communication and customer service , and it always seems like Joe tries to go the extra mile for his customers. I would imagine that they just don't have any extra links to sell you.

Good suggestion from Chronomeister above to source a bracelet from Strapcode.

I have owned 3 Zinex/Zixens over the years and never had a problem so I cannot comment on customer service, except that the last one I bought went out the next day and arrived a day after that. Attentive they certainly are.

I second chronomeister's suggestion of calling up the strapcode website. That option [a new bracelet] is more expensive than a few links sent from Zixen, but you'd have a bracelet that fits and a smaller one to sell.

Never had a dull moment with Zixen. From last minute order change up, or repair service (croaked crown stem). Brenda and Joe were top notch.
