    St John trip

Just got back a few days ago from St John, what a beautiful place. There are times I wish I was a better photographer, and this is one of those times. And naturally there was no camera on hand for some of the best critters, like a turtle the size of a Volkswagon, or sharks that my wife and son kept seeing, but I kept missing.

Before leaving, I was like a woman choosing which shoes to wear: I finally decided to bring my CWC, and it passed 7 days of shallow water resistance tests.

We stayed in Cinnamon Bay campground, and here's the view from our cabin.

    and our beach spot.

I was disappointed I didn't get more underwater shots, but here are a few.

My son got to try wind surfing, which he's wanted to do for years. (He's G Shocking.)

It was a great trip and I wasn't anxious to get home. This sign that we saw at breakfast one morning gave me a chuckle, and kind of reflects how I felt going back to work Monday.

In this case, it's St John, US Virgin Islands. No watch shops here, but one can hop on the ferry to St Thomas which has lots of watch shops. I didn't make it to any though.

St John is beautiful for sure. There are a couple small watch/jewelry shops on the island. We are in the planning stages for a return trip this winter.
