Steel, Gold, Leather, Sapphire, Plexi... (pls take care of the modem!)

Last week we had a meeting here in Corfu with a friend of mine and member at the Greek watch fora Charilaos, who is a captain on a cruise ship and a WIS at his ship docked for some hours in Corfu...


After the -very interesting- tour he gave me and my wife and our son Nicholas at the ship, he said that it was time to call a crew-member of the ship -Alex- who is a WIS too, but with certain taste in watches! Charilaos prepaired me of what was going to happen but...

Well, long story short, we went at the captain's office and then the party began!!!
I pulled out my strap folder, in wich Alex was very interested, and my watches, Charilaos brought his watches, and then Alex went to his cabin and returned with his "toys"...
For what happened next... i think that the pictures will tell the story better than me!

...but i guess it's better to post the reaso i was shaky, sweat, excited but mostly honoured that the owner allowed me to enjoy!!!

























That was quite an experience for me!
Having a friend, Charilaos, and a collector, Alex (btw, the watches he brought are the 1/10th of his collection with vintage Rolex and Tudor watches...), who now i consider as a friend because of his allowance to spent some time with those high value watches -only friends do that!- made this day one of my happiest WIS days in my life!
