    Swatch Group Divers?

This is more out of curiosity, and when Google didn't turn up a thread, I thought I'd ask myself.

For a company with so many brands, Swatch group doesn't seem to have too many 'traditional' diver-style watches - at least, not in the US market. I pretty much simply mean a watch with a diver's bezel around the dial and 200m water resistance. Sure, Hamilton has a couple of internal-rotating bezel watches (and they used to have the Frogman, which I didn't notice on their website last night) and Longines has the beautiful Legend Diver, but aside from the Seamaster/PO, Hydroconquest, and Tissot Seastar, are there any other traditionally styled divers?

Alternative question: Does Swatch limit the number of divers in its range so that dealers would have to push higher-end, higher priced pieces?

There's also the Mido Ocean Star, the Certina DS Action, and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

True, but the Mido has very limited distribution, the Certina isn't available in the US, and the Blancpain is quite a bit up there in price, is it not?

I just find it interesting that Swatch fields very few divers in the $500-$2k range, ceding that market to competitors, many of whom use ETA movements.

Having tried on the BP Fifty Fathoms and the GO Sport Evolution Panorama Date, I prefer the GO.

Yes, within the swatch group, you've named the key divers AFAIK.

But with swatch ETA movements, the options are limitless.

The Certina divers look good (and undercut the Longines), but aren't available in any US dealers.

Again, just find it interesting that they cede this market so much to third parties and microbrands that use ETA movements anyway - no particular affiliation or affection for Swatch, just found it interesting.

And here's a real Swatch diver. Not bad for 99 bucks but don't try diving 200 meters.
