Omega SMP Quartz is 11mm thick and wears like nothing is there.

Hmmm, the Squale wears pretty thin. I have to tell you,I have the CWC and also the 2254.50, and specs aside, neither wears thinner than that Squale. At least for me. Sorry the Squale isn't working out for you.

Take a look around for a Zenith Elite Diver. It's not made anymore, but there are frequently NOS versions for sale and they are only 9mm thick.

Seiko "Shogun" SBDC007 and Omega SMP both work very well on a wrist your size. I believe about 12mm thick +/-

Sea-Gull Dragon King comes in at 43x11mm. I like smaller watches in the 40mm range usually, but this one wears just fine, and I really dig it.

Thanks jswing. Very interesting to hear from someone who has both the Squale and Omega (and CWC - 3 great watches, I'd love to own all three).

I do love the Squale - it's a great watch and I've totally bonded with it. But I get the impression that if I had something else that wore more comfortably for me it probably wouldn't get much wrist time for daily wear. I know there's a huge amount of subjective / personal taste involved here
