Nice thread, Stensbjerg. My list is...

    1. AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver (unrealistic)
    2. JLC Master Compressor Diving GMT (perhaps)
    3. Panerai 305 (perhaps, 24 or 25 are realistic prospective grails)
    4. IWC Aquatimer 2000 (a few years after I've settled into my career)
    5. Rolex Seadweller (another prospective grail)
    Collection:
    Suunto Zoop

    Casio G-Shock Solar Frogman (GW-200Z)
    Citizen Promaster Titanium Aqualand (JV0051-60E)
    Seiko Prospex Solar Diver (SBDN003)
    Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 8500
    Tudor Hydronaut II

Field & Stream Compass Pocket Watch
    Longines Pocket Watch (L7.012.4)

I don't like the design concept of making it depth rated to 3900 meters when the deepest anyone has ever been in the water is about 500 meters, because this sacrificed dial diameter and made the case too thick and heavy. Still it is a very nice watch, so for now I will see if it grows on me. I still think I like my Submariner LV the best out of the Rolex lineup. I have owned Rolex watches since 1983 and they have always been tough, reliable and accurate.
    Thanks Vince
nice to hear from you old Rolex guys
I think all the others Rolex divers are a bit to small for me but the DS is spot on and the width of the bracelet looks fine in my eyes
but I have read that many others owners have had the same "problem" as you with the watch.

I also think the 3900 rate is great but I also like me diver to be thick and heavy,as long as it still can go with a suit and all Rolex divers pass that test for me
let's face it have nothing to do with what we need,no man needs more then 300m max,it is about something else it is a bit the same when you buy a real fast or luxury car,
it just have a good feel to it
    It's just a watch

Whatever you think is fine with me, man, but the car analogy does not fly with me. I have pegged every car that I own at one time or another, and I have also been saturation diving to 200 meters and know a few guys that have seen 1000 feet.

Hard to choose but I think today my list would be:

    Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600
Omega Planet Ocean 2201.50 (Already own)
Rolex ref. 6538 (I list this because I have a bit of an obsession with this one and it finds it's way onto every list of mine)
    IWC Aquatimer 2000
JLC Master Compressor Diving Alarm Navy SEALs

Like many others have said, this will probably change by tomorrow

    1. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms blue dial
    2. Rolex Submariner blue dial/white gold
    3. Omega Seamaster blue Bond
    4. Breitling Superocean Heritage 42
    5. Omega Planet Ocean 2011 blue
I know most of the modern Fifty Fathoms are 45mm which is too big for my wrist, but it seems like I heard somewhere that they have some limited edition FF models that are around 42mm. If that's not true I would have to change the FF choice to something more wearable for my wrist size.

BP did a limited edition of the FF back in 2003, the 50th anniversary of the advent of the Fifty Fathoms. It was done in three series of 50 watches each. The watch cases are all 40mm. If you're lucky, you can find one in the watch auction houses for about 15 grand. If you're really, really, really, really lucky (like my friend in Colombia), you have a business partner who has a friend in Switzerland who has a friend who is a jeweler there who had an unused, NOS FF anniversary watch, which my friend snapped up for less than 10 grand!. It was a fantastic score for him, since he has long coveted the BP FF, but has a sub-7 inch wrist and simply cannot wear the 45mm FF. The watch is absolutely stunning. When he gets back to Colombia in a couple of weeks I will try to get him to post some photos.
    Datejust 116333 • Submariner 116610LN • Datejust II 16233
    JLC DualTime 162.81.30 • Ω Aqua Terra 231.20.39.21.06.001 • H Air Zermatt H64554131

I have also used my cars to the max at least once, but when you think of it cars today can do so many thing that we don't used at normal use, offcouse some guys go more then 200-300m with there divers but I doubt the depend only on
a watch down there,if you are that serios I think you use a real dive computer.

I know I never will use a watch at 3900m before I buy it,but I still think it is nice to have
and I think we can say that with many things we buy.
    It's just a watch

I have never owned a dive computer other than a Scubapro analog SOS BendOmatic. Diving computers are not applicable to Commercial diving and when sport diving I never used anything besides a watch and tables. I have never been bent while sport diving.
