    Re: Top 5 Divers

    1) Panerai Pam25
    2) Rolex Submariner
    3) Kremke Subzilla
    4) Blancpain Fifty Fathom
    5) Doxa - any model

I think each one of these has a history that says classic dive watch ...and with the Kremke I think it represents the best Flicker case I have seen and is a perfect all around dive watch.

What's with the fascination with male divers? How about Sara Campbell (familiar to Bremont fans), who only a year after taking up the sport broke three women's world records: Free Immersion Apnea (81m); Constant Weight Apnea (now 96m); and Constant Weight No Fins (56m). I'd much rather look at underwater pictures of her....

I think my top 5 would look something like this (in no particular order):

    Rolex DSSD
    JLC Master compressor Diving GMT
    IWC Aquatimer 2000
    Benarus Megalodon
    Panerai 305

    Re: Top 5 Divers

    In order:
    1. Omega SMP600 'Ploprof'
    2. Omega SMP1000 'Grand'
    3. Citizen 1000m Pro 'Autozilla'
    4. Sinn EZM-1
    5. IWC 3529 'Bund'

HM goes to the PRS-2 Dreadnought (an emotional choice moreso than the rest of the list)

I'd like to think the list has changed over the years, but I answered this question about 7 years ago on another forum with mostly an identical list.
Interesting that some folks have rated watches they don't own - how do you know it's a top-5 dive watch if you haven't lived with it?

Excellent point, Colin! Perhaps the OP should have specified the top five desk divers. While some claim the SMP bezel is hard to turn, I never have encountered that problem on dozens of dives, most wearing thin reef gloves. The PO definitely is a step up, though. Good grippy bezel, a double-AR crystal that disappears underwater, and lume that is so bright you can see it's working in even marginally dim light. But the 5000T is my favorite ... I wish I'd had this watch 40 years ago (and I had a SM300 back then!). Admittedly, I've never dived with the DSSD, but on paper - and on my wrist - it is the closest to the 5000T in both form and function, albeit for almost five times the price. I must confess that the 42mm Sub might not be a great diver - mostly because it does not exist yet - but I've been underwater so many times wearing older model Submariners that I cannot imagine it disappointing.

These were the words of the OP:

"I would like top hear your top 5 of diver you would like to own without any limit"
