    Tsunami UDT Review and Pictures

I received my Tsunami UDT last week and am so happy with it that I had to post pictures and some of my comments and observations.

    Dial, Hands, Bezel and Crystal

The dial has great depth and is very easy to read from any angle. The sapphire crystal flows seamlessly into the bezel, and there are no inconsistencies in gap or height. It gives the watch a very clean appearance, and shows fit and finish that to me seems well above it's price point. The white hands really stand out from the dial, and the red light second hand adds a nice touch.

The triple grip on the bezel is very easy to turn, and looks really sharp in profile. The bezel markers line up nicely, but I find it is very easy to shoot past the top marker if turning quickly, resulting in a second rotation to align.

    Case and Bracelet

The case finish is excellent, and the brushed and polished surfaces are well executed. It gives the watch a really nice look from any angle on the wrist. I have read some of the posts that indicate that the goal of the bracelet is to convey a wave, and this seems to be accurate. Fit and finish on the bracelet is good, and it is easy to adjust (although I have not used the recommended loctite yet).

    Comfort, Accuracy, and Lume

It may not be a fair comparison, as I tend towards watches larger than the Tsunami, but it is easily the most comfortable watch I have owned (or at least tied with my departed Tag Calibre S). It sits nicely on the wrist, and encourages you to look at it (probably a little too often). It is running less than -2 sec per day, so very accurate. Wind is smooth, and adjustment easy. The lume is bright and durable, and is applied cleanly to the markers. It's a nice icing on a very well done cake.

I think this is a fantastic watch, and am very pleased to have it in my ever evolving and changing collection. It also holds the distinction of being the first watch my wife has said "I like that one"!

Never say never, but I may have a "keeper" in my Tsunami UDT!

Easily one of my favourite pieces, never thought much of getting one cause I always assumed to be impossible...maybe should start thinking otherwise. Congrats...

Nice review. I'm jealous that you are able to get a bone frog! I've been wanting one for a while (my holy grail) and didn't know they were still available. Congrats and wear it good health!

Dial and Case Back. I believe the configuration is available with the standard Tsunami otherwise.

Would've been funnier if the date in his pictures weren't today's. This also isn't a WRUW thread.
