I think he might benefit more with a smaller dive watch. The Helson will probably be way too big for his taste. A 42mm that wears like a 42mm. Just my .02

How about a Steinhart Ocean Military...seems to tik all your boxes. I think the orange lume and less tradtional handets for a sub homage makes for a great weekend watch

You have a good point here. I'm actually not sure how a 42mm will look on my wrist.

When I get home, I'll post a wrist shot with an existing 40mm.

Here's a 40mm (excluding crown) watch on my wrist. Do you think I will be able to pull off a 42mm watch with about 51mm lug to lug distance? Or am I being too ambitious?

The watch I'm wearing in the wrist shot has following dimensions:
    Case Dia: ~40mm
Case Width (including crown): ~44mm (more like 43.5mm but I don't have a set of callipers I can use right now)
    Lug to Lug Distance: ~48mm

    Wrist circumference: 6.75"

Following wrist shot is meant to be a reference for size.

It's a good looking watch too. I'll definitely consider this one.

    How about a boschett OM?
Quite small and dresses up and down nicely.

think you should put the Precista PRS-3 on your shortlist.
It's a stunning watch and feels very well made. The only downside for your criteria would be the weak lume. When I got it I wanted a dive watch with retina damaging lume, and felt slightly disappointed when it didn't glow that brightly.
BUT, the sheer quality has meant it has hardly left my wrist.
Bright lume's great, but don't let it become the main factor about what you choose. There are other more important qualities to consider.

For reference my wrist is 6.5". Also, if you don't know the brand then I'd check out the website for full specs and pics: www.timefactors.com
Good luck with whatever you decide on.

I have the same wrist size as you do, and my lug to lug cutoff is 51mm. Anything over that and the strap just hangs over the sides of my wrist. One person mentioned the Armida A2, which I have. It's a great watch, and it fits me well on a rubber strap. Lug to lug is 51mm. The way the bracelet is configured, the lug to lug seems a little longer than 51mm.

I have a Tsunami on order, which I know will fit me well. I recommend contacting Jake B. if you want one. Here's his website: Home - DAGAZ WATCH LTD.

Here's some pics of the Tsumami:

I think the Halios Laguna is going to be your best bet. Get the black or gray bezel, and you could even wear it to work. I know it's 43mm, but I'd bet that it wears smaller than something like the Helson Shark Diver 42mm, because of the cushion case design and relatively short lug to lug.

A man's watch is a very cherished thing. You steal that, you might as well be stealing his soul.
