My only dive watch is a Invicta Pro Diver 8926OBV2 with a Seiko NH25A mechanical movement. The first time I hit it up against a hard surface. I was just glad it wasn't a Rolex Submariner. Battle scars do tell a story though.

My daily five watches.
G-Shock MTG930DA-8V, G-Shock GW-5600J-1, Citizen Eco-Drive BM8180-03E, G-Shock Riseman GW9200-1, and a Vostok Amphibia with a Russian Navy missile ship and a Russian Tank on a stainless steel oyster watch band.

Doh hit my head against a hard surface![]()
this has never happened to me because I am serious about my watches. But if it ever did I would simply buy a new watch.
Thank you.
nothing. you wear'em, you wreck'em.
My watch has to go where I go and do what I do. If the get banged up, then I most likely got banged up also. We both wear our bumps proudly.
i do what this guy does->![]()
irritating GinGin since 2010
Doesn't bother me in the least. Then again, I don't purposefully take expensive watches into situations where they will get bumped up against a hard surface.
All watches will suffer from accidents and wear and tear over time. The chances of damage are greater if you use your watch in harsh environments (like diving). Either wear it and expect the bumps and bruises or lock the watch in a safe.
Picture credits to their respective owners. None of these watches are mine
