My first ever watch was a diver. I bought a Citizen Promaster when I first started working at the end of high school. Some b*st*rd stole it from my bag at uni while I was playing squash.

First dive watch was the Orange Monster I bought for $125 in 2005. Been hooked ever since.

Yes, it came on the rubber strap. And more likely a pin failed than the strap actually broke, but it went "sproing!" and looked like a bird flying away ... at least in the second or two before it hit the water. My father loaned me his to use when diving (he was still wearing his Doxa then), and I replaced it a year or so later in St. Thomas with a Rolex Sub (my first).
You would not want to see a photo of my brother's watch, except as a testimonial to the crap an Omega can take and still function. He's had the movement serviced several times and usually replaces the crystal at the same time (it usually is so wabi'd as to be opaque by then). He buys OTS Casio straps or keeps a beat-up Speidel link some jeweler sold him (complete with loose endlinks that flop around). He is the least interested person I know with regard to appearance ... we used to call him "Rumpled-stiltskin" when we were younger (he has five siblings).

Like many others, Invicta 8926. Started me down into this WIS abyss. See how the picture is primed for a "for sale" ad? Yep, it's long gone.
